2009 Texas Renaissance Festival Lowdown

I went to my first Renaissance Festival yesterday and I had a blast! I didn't realize there was so much to do at one of these things. I was there for five hours and I barely scratched the surface.

I saw jousting, a bird show, a grand procession with the King and Queen at the end, music acts and belly dancers; all kinds of people walking around in costume. I ran across the executioner a few times, don't know if that's a good sign or not. There was also fortune telling, henna, a blacksmith, glass blowing, paper making, broom maker. I could go on.

If you're in the area, go! It's an amazing festival. You'll be there all day! I can't wait to go again next year.
