Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted over at The Broke and the Bookish. This week's Top Ten is Top Ten Book Endings That Left Me With My Mouth Hanging Open.
- The Crimson Petal and the White by Michel Faber
- Affinity by Sarah Waters
- The House at Riverton by Kate Morton
- The Devil in Music by Kate Ross
- The Winter Sea by Susanna Kearsley
- The Villa Triste by Lucretia Grindle
- The Charioteer by Mary Renault
- The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield
- Sins of the Mother by Tara Hyland
- Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling
It's hard to explain why without giving away spoilers and/or being repetitive. So, I will just say that these all stuck with me.

Ohh, another person who agrees about HBP. I cried soo hard by the end of that book. :(
Half-Blood Prince- what a great and appropriate pick.
Was totally slack jaw at the ending of the HBP, never saw that one coming.
I haven't read any of these books and am now curious about them! Hope you'll visit my book teaser
Crimson Petal is on my TBR shelf - it looks like a really good read! And I LOVED Thirteenth Tale. Great list.

Great list -- I've only read two of these. The rest are new to me and are all ones I've been curious about -- now I should up them on the TBR because I love being shocked at the end of a book!
Ooooh, Affinity is a great choice! That ending threw me through a loop! The Crimson Petal and the White was awesome too!
