Top Ten Tuesday 12.06.11

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted over at The Broke and the Bookish. This week's Top Ten is Top Ten Childhood Faves.

1. Wayside School is Falling Down by Louis Sachar - I was obsessed with this book. I remember reading it so much that the cover fell off. I still remember some of the stories even though it's been years. I plan on rereading it someday.
2. The Witches by Roald Dahl - I remember rereading this a few times. The whole story just enchanted me. I remember also loving the film.
3. Harriet the Spy by Louise Fitzhugh - I loved this book so much that I made my own spy notebook and went around writing everything I saw and heard.
4. The Boxcar Children by Gertrude Chandler Warner - I remember wanting my own boxcar to live in!
5. The Mouse and the Motorcycle by Beverly Cleary - I actually remember the film more than the book, but I loved the story.
6. Make Way for Ducklings by Robert McCloskey - This was a popular book in my family because the story takes place in Boston. My sister and I each had our own copy. I still have it!
7. The Indian in the Cupboard by Lynne Reid Banks - Another book whose film I remember more than the book. Again, I loved the story.
8. Charlotte's Web by E.B. White - Read this a few times as a kid, and always cried at the end.
9. How to Eat Fried Worms by Thomas Rockwell - I vaguely recall the story, but I know that it cracked me up.
10. Freckle Juice by Jude Blume - Same as above, really.
